Urban Grub Opening

“Urban Grub: Fish Pit and Southern Cantina is basically a Southern restaurant with Latin influences,” owner Jay Pennington said. “What you’d see in a Southern Urban city. A lot of ethnic influences on Southern food.”

Pennington is a veteran of the Nashville food scene, opening Bound’ry and South Street in the early 90’s, and more recently being involved with the popular Local Taco mini chain.
